Canine Preventative Care

Annual Wellness Exam: $45

It is important to have your pet thoroughly examined each year. Our pets age 7 times faster than we do. Annual exams are our best tool for catching and preventing disease!

Canine core vaccines as recommended by American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), recommended for all dogs:

  • Distemper/Adenovirus/Parainfluenza/Parvo virus combination vaccine: $25.50
  • Rabies vaccine: $25.50

Other vaccines recommended based on the lifestyle of your pet:

  • Leptospirosis vaccine - highly recommended for all dogs in Missouri: FREE when given with Distemper combination vaccine
  • Bordetella vaccine (often referred to as "kennel cough" vaccine) - recommended for "social" dogs: $22.50

Recommended annual preventative screening:

  • Heartworm test: $28
  • Intestinal parasite exam: $30

***We are committed to protecting our pets against preventable diseases while not over-vaccinating! Our doctors follow the guidelines set forth by the American Animal Hospital Association. Once initial boosters are completed, adult dogs need only be vaccinated every 3 years for rabies and Distemper/Adenovirus/Parainfluenza/Parvo. Leptospirosis and Bordetella need to be boostered annually, due to the short lived immunity that the vaccines induce.***
