Karen Lea

Veterinarian, Owner

Dr. Karen Lea is the owner of Glenstone Veterinary Clinic. She started GVC to provide quality and efficient care to the fur babies of your family. Dr. Lea became a veterinarian to help people through helping their animals. She is a graduate of Colorado State University with a BS in Microbiology, Immunology and Pathology, University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and the University of Missouri School of Health Professionals with a Masters in Public Health. She has years of general practice and emergency experience. Specializing in canines and felines, Dr. Lea thrives to provide the most up to date evidenced based medicine. 

Dr. Lea's favorite part of practicing veterinary medicine is the person on the other end of the leash! She enjoys making meaningful connections, communicating effectively and helping others make the best decisions for them and their pets. Beyond connecting with others, she has a particular interest in dentistry and oral health. With hours of extra continuing education, Dr. Lea is here to confidently care for your pet's oral health needs.

Outside of work, Dr. Lea is a loving wife to Logan and a proud mother of three young children. Her children keep her very busy during her time off!

And keep an eye out for her pets in the clinic! Molly, the long lanky black lab, is Dr. Lea's right-hand canine, while Sansa is her independent and tenacious feline. Reuben is the newest member of the clan and keeps us all on our toes.

Logan Lea

Office Manager

Logan is our office manager. Pursing his lifelong dream of running a veterinary clinic, Logan has teamed with Dr. Lea in opening Glenstone Veterinary Clinic. Logan has an BS in Animal Husbandry from the University of Missouri where he met yours truly, Dr. Lea. He has years of experience in the dairy industry and public health field. He is also a jack of all trades and literally and figuratively built the walls of our clinic!

His favorite part of veterinary medicine is connecting with you and your pet. He is here to make your experience and your pet's experience at the vet clinic exceptional. 

Outside of work, Logan is husband to Karen and the best dad to three littles. His hobbies include working on cars, hunting and being outdoors with his family. ​


Emily

Customer Service Representative

Emily is likely the first face you will see when you walk through the door. Emily has been with us since day one! Her favorite part of working in the veterinary industry is meeting new patients, young and old!

She is an avid learner and has worked hard to put all of her new knowledge to use to help you and your pet. Originally from Alaska, Emily has been in the Springfield area since 2001. She is a proud mom of three kids, five dogs, three cats, three reptiles, and a husband.

She spends her free time relaxing by her pool in the summertime and cozied up by a fire in the winter.

Veterinary Assistant

Melissa is one of our veterinary assistants. Her favorite part of veterinary practice is dentistry! (A girl after Dr. Lea's own heart). She has trained extensively since starting at Glenstone Veterinary Clinic and has learned so many new skills.

​A Springfield native, Melissa is dedicated to serving our community and their pets. 

On her days off, Melissa enjoys a good book and cozy blanket! 


Jessica

Veterinary Assistant

Jessica is one of our veterinary assistants. If your pet is hospitalized, she is most likely the one diligently nursing your fur baby back to health. She has extraordinary talents of getting our sick patients back to eating! Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is seeing these patients back time and time again.

Jessica is a hardworking mom of two children and three large dogs. On her free time, she likes to spend time with her kids.

Pam

Customer Service Representative

Pam is one of our friendly front desk staff. She joined our team in July 2022. She is most likely the voice you hear when you call us. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is developing relationships with clients and their pets. 

Pam is a proud mom to her son who is hard at work at the policy academy. She also has two dogs, five cats, two horses, and a lone longhorn named Gus. She enjoys doing chores and spending time with her pets, her husband and her son.  


Tammie

Veterinary Assistant/CSR

Tammie has also been with us since day one! Tammie has been in the veterinary industry in the Springfield area for 30+ years! She brings an invaluable amount of experience to our team and is the glue that holds us together. 

Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is surgery, but her biggest strength is working with patients that may be a little bit scared in our office. 

Tammie is a proud mom to two daughters and Grammie to three little grandchildren. She has one sweet French Bulldog named Charm. During her free time, Tammie enjoys spending time with her family.
